The Lions story in Stony Plain stretches back to September, 1957 when 16 community minded men united to form the Stony Plain Lions Club. They committed themselves to the Lions motto ‘We Serve” and to making their local community and the broader world community better places to live.
Today with 28 members, our Lions Club continues the work we have done for all those years, still making a better place to live.

We gave $250.000 to the Heritage Park multi-venue facility. This was our Centennial Project in 2017.
We have supported the town with many amenities is Stony Plain, including playgrounds, transportation, hospital equipment and shared in the many projects that makes Stony Plain, your community, a better place.
We operate the Stony Plain Lions RV Park & Campground
This is our major fund raiser.
76 fully serviced sites help attract about 3000 visitors to Stony Plain each year. Some camp here so they can attend family reunions, weddings or take in local tourist attractions such as the murals, golf course and Multicultural Centre; others because the Park is only 25 minutes from West Edmonton Mall and others because it is on the route to Alaska. Most visitors come from Canada and the United States, but some come from Europe and Asia.
Each year the Park generates funds that enable Stony Plain Lions to support community projects.
